Privacy Policy
Peekaboo Places (the "Game") is a daily landmark-guessing game on TikTok Minis, made by AuraLegend and operated by Guangzhou Saibopusi Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Game uses and why.
The short version: we don't run any servers for the Game, we don't ask for your name, email, phone number or location, and we never sell your information.
1. Information stored on your device
Your daily progress — how many guesses you've used, how clear the picture is, the answers you've already tried, and your result — is saved only on your device using TikTok's local storage. It is never sent to us. Progress from older days is cleared automatically after 7 days. Clearing the Game's data or cache removes it right away.
2. TikTok login
TikTok requires mini games to use its silent login. When you open the Game, TikTok may provide an anonymous identifier that is unique to this Game. We do not receive your TikTok username, profile photo, followers, contacts or messages, and we do not store the identifier on any server of ours.
3. Gameplay analytics
To understand how hard each puzzle is and how to improve the Game, we use TikTok's built-in analytics to record basic gameplay events, such as:
- opening the Game and starting the day's puzzle;
- whether a guess was right, wrong or close, and which attempt it was;
- finishing the puzzle, sharing a result card, and earning an extra guess or a clearer picture.
These events don't include the text you type. We only see them as aggregated statistics in the TikTok developer console.
4. Ads
The Game offers optional rewarded video ads: if you choose to watch one, the picture gets clearer. Ads are served by TikTok, which may collect and use information about your device and ad interactions under its own policies. We don't receive any personal information from these ads. 5. Sharing
When you tap Share, the Game creates a result card (game name, puzzle number, your score and a grid of hits and misses — never the answer) and hands it to TikTok's sharing feature. What happens next is up to you and is covered by TikTok's policies.
6. What we don't do
- We don't collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts or photos.
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for profiling.
- The Game has no in-app purchases.
7. Children
The Game is available only to people who meet TikTok's minimum age requirement, and it is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Because the Game keeps your progress on your device and we don't operate any servers for it, we generally hold no personal information about you. You can delete your progress at any time by clearing the Game's data in TikTok. For data held by TikTok, please use TikTok's privacy settings or contact TikTok directly. You're always welcome to contact us with questions.
9. International users
The Game is offered through TikTok in several countries. Information handled by TikTok (login, analytics and ads) is processed under TikTok's policies and may be transferred to and stored in other countries.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the Game handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the Game.
